All of ThinkGeek Is on Sale (and 14 More Weekend Deals)

June 23, 2019 0 By NIKESHOE

If you live north of the equator, you just lived through the summer solstice on June 21. But don't worry—even if you didn't get to see nearly 24 straight daylight hours in Alaska, or dance the day away at Stonehenge, we still have plenty of reasons for you to celebrate. This weekend, we searched the web to find deals on everything from MacBooks to beach chairs and more.

Note: When you buy something using the retail links in our stories, we may earn a small affiliate commission. Read more about how this works.

Everything at ThinkGeek is 50 Percent Off

Your favorite place to pick up geeky birthday gifts for the Star Wars or Harry Potter fans in your life is shutting down and moving in with its parent company, GameStop. That means that through July 2, you have the opportunity to pick up anything at ThinkGeek for 50 percent off with the code MOVINGDAY applied at checkout, like this ThinkGeek exclusive poké ball waffle maker.

The Pokémon Poké Ball Waffle Maker costs $17 ($17 off).

Computer and Electronics Deals

  • Apple MacBook Air 13-Inch for $1,100 ($100 off): This deal is fairly consistent on Amazon, but we like to point it out every so often. It's cheaper to buy many Apple products from Amazon than Apple itself. We recommended the 13-inch MacBook Air as the best all-around MacBook.

  • Asus FX705DT 17-Inch Gaming Laptop for $850 ($150 off): This is a good mid-range gaming laptop with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, 8 GB of RAM, and a 512-GB solid state drive.

  • Lenovo Ideapad S340 Laptop for $450 ($210 off): This is a pretty great laptop for $450. It has a 15.6-inch screen, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD.

Gaming Deals

  • Super Mario Maker 2 Preorder for $52 ($8 off): This isn't a fantastic deal, but any discount on a new Switch game is worth mentioning. Don't forget to check our roundup for even more of our favorite Switch games.

  • Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for $28 ($32 off): This is the Switch version of a game that was a big hit on the Nintendo Wii U.

  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for $15 ($35 off): Our reviewer Julie Muncy adores this game.

  • Microsoft Xbox + PC Wireless Adapter for $45 ($35 off): This Xbox controller will also work wirelessly with a PC thanks to an adapter. It has a 19.7-foot range and a built-in 35-mm headphone jack.

Home and Outdoors Deals

  • August Smart Lock Pro + Connect for $216 ($64 off): If you're constantly forgetting to lock the door when you rush off to work, the August Smart Lock Pro is easy to install and works a lot better with the Wi-Fi bridge.

  • Insignia Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker for $31 ($69 off): We haven't tested this model, but it appears to be a pretty decent Bluetooth speaker that's waterproof and boombox-like with 15-20 hours of battery life. It's hard to beat a $31 price.

  • Apple Watch Series 3 GPS for $200 ($80 off): If you didn't pick up a Series 4 ($50 off) at Best Buy, the Series 3 is still a pretty good fitness tracker.

  • Helinox Beach Chair for $90 ($60 off): If you've ever wanted a camping chair that was large, comfortable, and had room for a headrest, Helinox has you covered.

  • GoalZero Nomad 7 Solar Panel for $65 ($15 off): If you're going off the grid this summer, we really like GoalZero's light, portable solar panels for recharging phones and satellite messengers.

  • Danner Mountain Light Boots for $270 ($90 off): This is a significant discount on the hiking boots that are so iconic, they were featured in the backpacking movie Wild.
